Subject: Chapter XI
Officer Transition.
In accordance with the results of the recent
election, the formal transition of Chapter XI, SFA Presidents office took place
on 15 May 2008. Al Paddock, our outgoing
President, has passed stewardship of the SFA Chapter XI to John C. (Scot)
Crerar, as our new President. We would
like to thank Al for the tremendous job that he has done over the past two years
as President, and we wish he and Theresa all the best in their future
endeavors. Scot, we welcome you as
President and thank you for assuming these responsibilities. We look forward to working with you
Scot.
On May 10th Mac
Dorsey assumed the duties of Chapter Secretary from Pete Stemenski. Pete is off to new (actually recurring)
adventures as he deploys for his fourth tour of duty during the ongoing
crises. We want to also thank Pete for
his diligent and energetic service to the Chapter XI, and our hats are off to
him as he once again steps to front in the on going fight.
O it's Tommy this,
an' Tommy that, an' "Tommy, go away";
But it's "Thank you, Mister Atkins"),
when the band begins to play,
The band begins to play, my boys, the band
begins to play,
O it's "Thank you, Mister Atkins", when the band begins to
play.
(Rudyard Kipling,
Tommy)
We look forward to his safe return next
year.
I will be sending
occasional information as things occur between newsletters that
are of general Chapter interest. Of
course this correspondence is not in substitution of our periodic newsletters,
it is simply complimentary information.
